The role

We’re looking for a Head of Operations to lead and shape the backbone of our business. In this critical role, you’ll take ownership of the processes, people, and platforms that keep our company running smoothly – and help us scale with confidence. You’ll bring structure, insight, and energy to our operations, ensuring we’re set up for success today and in the future.

Key Responsibilities
Lead operational excellence
  • Design, implement and continuously improve processes and systems that underpin operational success across logistics, IT, facilities, and procurement.
  • Evaluate and optimise business procedures to drive efficiency, scalability and alignment with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic goals into operational plans and actions.
Drive data-informed decision-making
  • Monitor and analyse business performance through KPIs, dashboards and reports.
  • Use data to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement, and act on them proactively.
Champion cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with all departments to streamline ways of working and support high performance.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships internally and externally – from customers to suppliers to third-party partners.
  • Oversee supplier and vendor management, including contracts and service levels.
Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Manage and coach a multi-functional operations team with clarity, care, and a focus on growth.
  • Inspire a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Ensure governance, compliance and sustainability
  • Keep us on the right side of legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Review and update policies, driving awareness and adoption across the business.
  • Embed sustainability into day-to-day operations – ensuring social, environmental and community impact are part of every decision.
Delight our customers
  • Continuously improve our customer support processes, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty through brilliant service.

About you
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and can balance big-picture thinking with getting things done. You'll be a strategic operator who loves solving problems, building systems, and unlocking team potential.

We think you’ll thrive in this role if you have:
  • Significant experience in a senior operations role within a scaling business – ideally in tech, SaaS, science or innovation-led sectors
  • A solid understanding of business functions like logistics, procurement, IT, finance, and customer support
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change at pace
  • Confident working with data and KPIs to drive insights and decisions
  • Great knowledge of operational systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, productivity tools)
  • A knack for coaching, leading, and influencing at all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic mindset
  • An understanding of compliance, legal frameworks and risk management
  • A natural curiosity and drive to continuously improve how things work
