The role
NatureMetrics is a global leader in biodiversity monitoring and environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis, transforming the scale at which nature can be quantified. Our cutting-edge solutions enable organisations to monitor nature impact across sectors, from conservation to industry and inform sustainability decisions with unprecedented accuracy. With a strong market leading position, NatureMetrics has established a robust client base and developed a proprietary software platform that makes biodiversity insights accessible, actionable and scalable. As Earthshot Prize Finalists 2024, BloombergNEF Pioneers 2024, World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers 2024 and TechNation Future Fifty 2025 cohort members, we have the potential and the opportunity to change the way organisations operate.
As we grow, we're looking for a Data Analyst to take the lead on analytical work that helps teams across the business make better, data-informed decisions.
In this role, you’ll own analysis projects from start to finish, build clear and useful reports and dashboards, help prioritise analytics work and support the development of our internal data tools and infrastructure. You’ll also play a key part in improving data literacy across the company.
It’s a hands-on, cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with people across commercial, product, scientific and technical teams and have the chance to shape how data is used across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Leading data analysis: Take the lead on analysis projects from scoping to delivery, supporting teams across the business, including commercial, product, science, operations and finance.
Managing analytics priorities: Work with different teams to understand their data needs, help set priorities and keep things aligned with overall business goals.
Building reports and dashboards: Develop internal reporting processes and build insightful dashboards using modern visualisation tools to give teams the information they need, when they need it.
Championing data literacy and best practice: Help colleagues across the business feel confident using data by sharing knowledge, offering support and establishing best practices in data analysis.
Improving data infrastructure: Work with the data engineering team to build and maintain robust, well-structured data pipelines and help shape our internal data tools by promoting good practices around data quality, documentation and automation.
Collaborating with data science and machine learning team: Support exploratory data analysis to help validate hypotheses and inform the delivery of NatureMetrics' AI and machine learning roadmap.
